Long Beach Island (LBI) is a narrow strip of sand that is located off the coast of southern Ocean County, New Jersey. It is approximately a mile wide and 18 mile long. It is comprised of the towns of Beach Haven, Ship Bottom, Surf City, Harvey Cedars, Barnegat Light, and Long Beach Township. Long Beach Township is by far the largest community on LBI; on the south end the township it is made up of: Holgate, North Beach Haven, Surf City, Beach Haven Gardens, Beach Haven Terrace, The Dunes, Haven Beach, Beach Haven Park, Pephala Park, Brighton Beach, Beach Haven Crest, and Brant Beach. The northern sections of the township are North Beach, Loveladies and High Bar Harbor.
